In place of reeds, we used 44 pieces of steel boning and hand-hammered end caps on each tip of the boning. They wonĘt poke through the fabric! Side-tab boning is designed so the corset doesnĘt pinch your waist at the hips, and the front has a wooden busk -- both period construction techniques.
