In addition to the features of the Bella Abita, the wedding edition Bella Abita is generously embroidered completely around the lower skirt. Italy was long known for elaborate works of art and the Italian dress, Bella Abita, is no exception. Ladies and gentlemen of the Renaissance often ostentatiously displayed parts of the chemise or shirt because finely woven fabric could have been the most costly part of the outfit.
Fashioned after gowns worn in the late 1400s, this comfortable fit dress is made of cotton velveteen, the closest modern equivalent to period velvet.
The bodice is embroidered with a period motif (designs will vary). This flattering, unlined gown is machine wash and dry. We recommend you wear it with the classic or ruffled chemise (not included).
